Dr. Pooja Khator completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami where she was recipient of the Henry King Stanford Scholarship. She went on to receive her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine where she served as President and Editor-In-Chief of the medical school newspaper, Fovea. After completing an internship in preliminary medicine at the University of Florida, Dr. Khator continued her training at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore where she served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology and was the resident leader for the Hospital Ethics Committee.

Dr. Khator received subspecialty training in glaucoma management and surgery at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, ranked the number one Eye Hospital by U.S. News and World Report ten years standing.
